Meet Mark:
A JEWELER DEVOTED TO HIS CRAFT
Mark Loren has devoted a lifetime to the craft of jewelry-making. Today, he works out of his Fort Myers, Florida studio, where you can shop his gallery of outstanding work. However, Mark was born and raised in Chicago, and that’s where he began his career. He attended Gem City College in Quincy, Illinois, studying advanced jewelry design, watchmaking, and jewelry repair. Then, after repairing watches for Bulova Watch Co., Mark began a jewelry apprenticeship with Frederick Prete Custom Goldsmiths in Highland Park. Ultimately, fine jewelry stores across the Chicago area carried his work.

ESTABLISHING A SHOP IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA
In 1982, Mark relocated to Fort Myers, where he started a small trade shop. Initially, he provided jewelry repair and design for other stores in the Southwest Florida region. Then, in 1985, he opened his own retail design gallery.
